The Gallup Strengths Center classifies 34 Strengths Themes into four domains. In this article, we will discuss the Executing domain, which considers how an individual turns ideas, thoughts, and planning into action and actual results.

The Executing Strengths

Achiever

  • These people are good at working hard and enduring difficult times.
  • When the Achiever strength is overused, these people can fall into the trap of not working smart and may be working without a strategic focus.

Arranger

  • These people are good at organizing resources and information to maximize productivity.
  • When the Arranger strength is overused, these people may find it difficult to articulate their frameworks and structural solutions to others, especially when these ideas get really complex.

Belief

  • These people are good at maintaining a set of unchanging core values.
  • When the Belief strength is overused, these people will find it hard to accept that others may have different values from their own without being judgmental.

Consistency

  • These people are good at treating others the same, maintaining routines, and setting clear rules for others to follow.
  • When the Consistency strength is overused, these people may find it difficult to accommodate to individual differences amongst people or to adapt to situations flexibly.

Deliberative

  • These people are good at investing serious care when making decisions.
  • When the Deliberative strength is overused, these people may find themselves giving off the impression that they are intentionally wasting time over the decision-making process instead of taking action.

Discipline

  • These people are good at forming routines and structure.
  • When the Discipline strength is overused, these people tend to give off the impression of being controlling.

Focus

  • These people are good at following through on their words and staying on track.
  • When the Focus strength is overused, these people often find themselves neglecting on other important aspects of their life, such as personal life.

Responsibility

  • These people are good at taking psychological ownership of what they set out to do and are honest.
  • When the Responsibility strength is overused, these people tend to overload themselves with too many responsibilities.

Restorative

  • These people are good at resolving problems.
  • When the Restorative strength is overused, these people may find it difficult to restrain themselves from solving other people’s problems for them.
